1. Booking & Deposit Guidelines

Securing mountain guides, local cooks, muleteer support teams, and desert camp permits requires advance coordination.

• 20% Deposit: Required at booking to secure your requested dates and local permits. This deposit is non-refundable.
• Remaining Balance: Payable at least 7 days before the tour starts in Moroccan Dirham (MAD), Euros (EUR), or approved electronic payment.
• Last-Minute Requests: Tours reserved within 7 days of departure require 100% payment upon booking confirmation.

2. Cancellation Policy Breakdown

If your travel plans change and you need to cancel, please notify us in writing (email or WhatsApp) as early as possible. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance we receive your request:

3. Weather, Safety & Itinerary Changes

Moroccan mountain passes and desert valleys present dynamic terrain:

• Pre-Departure Hazards: If severe weather (e.g., flash flood warnings in Todra/Dades gorges, heavy snow, sandstorms) forces us to cancel a tour before starting, you can choose a 100% full refund or credit toward a future date.
• In-Trek Route Adjustments: The lead guide reserves full authority to modify active routes mid-trek for safety. Safety detours or substituted activities on the trail do not qualify for partial refunds.

4. Insurance & Emergency Evacuation

High-altitude trekking (such as Mount Toubkal or M'Goun) carries real physical demands.

• Mandatory Insurance: All guests must hold travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking (up to 4,200m), mountain rescue, and medical evacuation.
• Evacuation Costs: Costs incurred for unscheduled mule rescue, off-road transfers, or medical transports are the financial responsibility of the participant.

5. Date Changes & Equipment Liability

• Free Date Adjustments: You can reschedule your trip date up to 14 days prior to departure at no extra charge, subject to guide availability.
• Gear Care: Any borrowed or rented equipment (tents, crampons, poles) must be treated respectfully. Damaged or lost equipment outside normal wear will be charged at local replacement costs.
