Operating natural landscape tours across Morocco's terrain — from the High Atlas trails to desert dunes — requires clear ground rules regarding safety, unexpected weather, and booking commitments.

1. Booking and Payments

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking to secure dates and local permits.
  • Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to the tour start date in Moroccan Dirham (MAD) or Euros (EUR), or via approved electronic payment.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Guest Cancellations:
    • 15+ days prior to start: Full refund minus the deposit.
    • 7 to 14 days prior: 50% refund of total tour cost.
    • Less than 7 days prior: Non-refundable.
  • Guide Cancellations: If a tour is canceled due to severe safety risks (e.g., flash floods, extreme heat warnings, sandstorms), guests may choose between a full refund or rescheduling to an alternative date.

3. Safety, Fitness, and Medical Conditions

  • Physical Fitness: Guests must self-assess their physical condition against the tour's difficulty rating (e.g., altitude, trekking distance).
  • Guide Authority: The guide reserves the right to modify or abort a route for any guest whose physical condition or behavior compromises group safety.
  • Insurance Requirement: Guests are required to carry personal travel insurance covering emergency medical evacuation, mountain rescue, and trekking activities.

4. Itinerary Alterations and Force Majeure

  • Unplanned Changes: Routes, campsites, or transportation may change without prior notice due to weather conditions, road blockages, or official park closures.
  • Liability: The guide is not liable for extra expenses incurred by guests due to travel delays, flights missed, or force majeure events outside human control.

5. Environmental and Cultural Conduct

  • Environmental Impact: Guests must adhere to "Leave No Trace" principles, disposing of waste properly and respecting flora and fauna in protected national parks.
  • Local Etiquette: Guests agree to respect local customs, particularly when passing through Berber villages, including taking photos of residents only with explicit permission.
